Artist

EGS is a graffiti artist whose work explores themes of urban disruption and public space. Inter-Continental draws parallels between how graffiti spreads across urban environments and how malware infiltrates digital spaces.

Inspired by the Blaster malware, Inter-Continental explores the theme of global contagion. The mirrored sculpture reflects on the rapid spread of the Blaster worm, which created one of the largest malware outbreaks in history in August 2003, infecting hundreds of thousands of computers worldwide and highlighting the seamless way malware crosses borders in an interconnected world.
